  At high frequencies, ordinary wires will generate huge alternating current resistance (Rac) due to the "skin-like effect" (current concentration on the surface of the wire, reducing the effective conductive area) and "proximity effect" (the magnetic fields of adjacent wires interfering with each other, resulting in uneven current distribution), and the loss can account for more than 60% of the total loss of the transformer.
  The multi-strand thin wires of the Litz wire (the diameter of each piece is usually less than 1/3 of the skin depth, such as about 0.66mm at 1MHz, and the diameter of each share can be controlled within 0.2mm) are insulated to each other and regularly twisted, which can evenly disperse the current among the wires and significantly reduce the Rac.
