The stator windings of industrial motors usually need to withstand high voltage and current, and paper-coated copper wire can meet the requirements of stator windings due to its good insulating properties and mechanical strength. It can be wound into various shapes and sizes according to the design requirements, such as distributed or centralised windings, to generate the required magnetic field to drive the motor. For example, in large asynchronous motors, stator windings made of paper-coated copper wires are able to operate stably at high voltages and provide strong power to the motor.
For some types of industrial motors, such as wire-wound rotor asynchronous motors, paper-coated copper wire is also used for the rotor winding. The rotor winding generates induced currents and magnetic fields during the operation of the motor, which interact with the stator winding to achieve speed regulation and energy conversion of the motor. The insulating properties of paper-coated copper wire can prevent the rotor winding from short-circuiting in the high-speed rotation and complex electromagnetic environment, ensuring the normal operation of the motor.
