Enameled Copper Clad Aluminum Wire

  The weight of the rotor coil of the micro motor directly affects its starting response speed, operation inertia and energy efficiency. The low-density nature of copper-clad aluminum wire reduces coil weight, allowing motors:
Faster start-up, suitable for scenarios that require high-frequency start-stop (such as printer stepper motors);
Reduce rotational inertia and improve control accuracy (such as robot joint micromotor);
  Reduce the energy consumption of the motor drive, in line with the low-power design trend.

  The working frequency of micro and special motors is usually hundreds of Hz to several kHz (such as the pulse frequency of stepper motors), at this time, although the skin effect is not as significant as in the RF field, the pure copper layer on the surface of the copper-clad aluminum wire (thickness is usually ≥ 5μm) can ensure that the current is mainly conducted through the copper layer with low resistance, and the difference between the AC resistance and the pure copper wire of the same specification is small (generally ≤5%), and the copper loss or heat generation of the motor will not be significantly increased.
  At the same time, the enameled insulation layer (e.g. polyesterimide, polyamideimide) can withstand the temperature rise (typically ≤ 120°C) during the operation of the motor and meet the insulation reliability requirements.
